Legoland Airport

Legoland Airport magnify

By Emily Lamb

On our way to Rockland, we got our Legos out and we made a really neat Lego airport.  It was complete with these features:

  • Large clock made out of Daniel’s watch,
  • Restaurant,
  • Gift shop,
  • Benches to sit on and wait for the flight,
  • Luggage carousel,
  • Security point,
  • Control Tower, and of course an
  • Airplane (the best plane we’ve ever made).

We filled the airport and the jet with little Lego people.  By now you can probably guess that Legos are some of my favorite toys!

The man who started the Lego company had a contest with his employees to see who could find the best name for his company.  The prize was a bottle of beer and he won it himself.  Lego means “play well” in French, and “I assemble” in Latin.
